Someplace Safe depends upon community members like you who are interested in the position of:
Volunteer Advocate:
- Crisis Intervention
- Legal Advocacy - Protection orders and court hearings
- Criminal Justice Advocacy
- Safety Planning
- Community Resources and Information
- Arrange temporary, emergency housing, transportation, and food needs
- Optional - Respond to hospital or law enforcement agencies as requested after hours
Because of the amount of training required we request that volunteer advocates make a minimum time commitment of one day per month for one year. Daytime hours from 8AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday.
