Youth Enrichment- Dist. 206 Community Education

Community Education Youth Enrichment offers opportunies for students to take classes to learn new hobbies, expand academic knowledge, do fun projects, play athletic games or be physically active, and develop or improve a skill. These classes are offered after school and in the summer.

We have also expanded our Club program to offer After School Club at all 6 elementary schools and Summer Club at DMS for students entering grades 5-8. This is an academic based program that emphasizes reading, math, and science, and also allows students to gain  social skills, independence, and self confidence by participating in fun and unique activities with their peers in a semi-structured yet relaxed summer environment. We had 165 students participating in After School Club throughout this school year and hope to expand this summer's 6 week Summer Club program to 130+.

Community Education offers many opportunities for educational, enrichment, and recreational opportunies for all people. Youth enrichment is one piece of that puzzle that serves youth in grades k-12.
