Safe Families for Children

Founded in 2003, Safe Families for Children surrounds families in crisis with caring, compassionate community. We are a volunteer-driven nonprofit that provides hope and support to families in our local communities. Located in 70 cities across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and beyond, we are motivated by faith to keep children safe and families intact. We are a movement of families supporting children and parents in their community. Our local chapters launched in October of 2020 and is based out of Alexandria. We serve a one hour perimeter based on volunteer location and ability. 

Safe Families for Children partners with local churches and community organizations to recruit, train, and equip volunteers in local communities to build "Circles of Support."  Once established, these Circles of Support then wrap around a families when they face struggles and provide family-like support to help the whole family unit work through their challenge and move forward in their lives.
